DRIVING TO THE INN
When driving to the Nehalem River Inn, take Hwy 26 west from Portland to either Hwy 53 (south) or Hwy 101 (south). Take your pick. A couple of important notes:
— Hwy 53 is about 20 minutes faster (so your GPS will likely advise you to take this route), but it's a narrow, winding road that can be difficult to navigate, especially at night. If you’re apt to motion sickness, this might not be the best route for you.
— Hwy 101 is a 40-minute drive from Hwy 101 that takes you right along the coast, through Oswald West State Park, past Cannon Beach and Manzanita, and through Nehalem.
If you take Hwy 53 from Hwy 26, the inn will be on your right.
If you take Hwy 101 from Hwy 26, you'll pass through Nehalem then turn left onto Hwy 53. Drive for about one mile. When you cross the Mohler Bridge, the inn will be on your immediate left.
