Our Location

We are located less than three miles south of Nehalem at 34910 Hwy 53 in Nehalem. After turning east off the Oregon Coast Highway (Hwy 101) onto Hwy 53, the Inn will be about a mile down, just across the Nehalem River.

Checking In & Out

Check in anytime after 3:30 pm. Guests will receive an email and text with a code to access their room.

Check out is at 10:30 am. To check out, simply lock the door as you leave.

Parking at The Inn

Each room has a dedicated parking spot. Look for your room number. Rooms 1 and 4 park in the upper lot. Rooms 2 and 3 park in the front of the building (parallel parking only). Rooms 5 and 6 park in the lower lot.


Your Stay

Can we bring our children to the Nehalem River Inn?
Guests 16 and older may stay at the inn. Children under the age of 16 are welcome if they are part of a group that’s rented out the entire property. For inquiries or exceptions, please contact us.

What is the maximum occupancy per room?
There is a maximum of two adults per room.

Is smoking allowed at the inn?
The Nehalem River Inn is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not allowed in rooms.

How far is Nehalem and Manzanita from The Nehalem River Inn?
It’s a quick five-minute drive north on the Oregon Coast Highway (Hwy 101) from the Inn to downtown Nehalem. And Manzanita is about a seven-minute drive further north.

Is there Wifi?
Yes, we have complimentary wifi. 

Are pets allowed at The Inn?
We have two dog-friendly rooms at the inn: Room 5 (Gardenview) and Room 6 (cabin). There’s a $30 pet fee per dog per night. Two dogs max. Dogs only. Please don’t leave your dog unattended in the room. Please be respectful or other guests.

How are the rooms laid out?

What restaurants are nearby? 
Check out the "Eat & Drink" section of our website for information on restaurants, coffee shops, cafes and pubs in Nehalem, Manzanita, and Wheeler.

What else is nearby?
From Nehalem, it’s a five-minute drive to Oswald West State Park, one of Oregon’s most scenic parks. Oswald West has a number of hikes and walks, including Short Sand Beach, Devil’s Cauldron, and the Oregon Coast Trail. Nehalem is also an easy drive to Ecola State Park, as well as the towns of Cannon Beach, Manzanita, Nehalem, Wheeler, Seaside, Astoria, Rockaway Beach, Garibaldi and Tillamook.

Can you see the river from the Inn?
The Nehalem River is just a few yards west of the Inn.

Does every room have a private entrance?
Yes. And Room 4 has two entrances.

Is there onsite parking?
Yes. Every room has its own dedicated parking space. Rooms 1 and 4 park in the upper lot. Rooms 2 and 3 park in the front of the building (parallel parking only). Rooms 5 and 6 park in the lower lot. Only one car per room, unless previously authorized.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?
There is a 25% cancellation fee for all reservations prior to 14 days of arrival. Any cancellations within 14 days of reservation will be charged the full room rate.

The Nehalem River Inn is a smoke-free property. Smoking is prohibited in our rooms and on the grounds.
